Frequently Asked Questions about Satellite

Why OneTerra?

Before designing the constellation, OneTerra approached its target customer base to gauge and assess their needs against a viable product suite.  By designing the constellation with the customers requirements allows the team to deliver a product that immediately fits the market.

Isn't Satellite Antiquated?

Now more than ever NO. As civilization continues to push itself into more remote areas, the typical infrastructure doesn't exist and is costly both for the user and for the provider. Improved satellite technology and redefined technologies will continue to increase the overall performance of satellite connectivity.

How big is the satellite market?

The total Satellite and Telecommunications market is expected to reach over $362 Billion dollars by 2022. Recently released market analysis shows that space is the new frontier and spending is expected to grow through 2027 to $1.25 Trillion dollars. In other words, it's big and will continue to grow.

Why Lower Orbits?

LEO/MEO (Low/Medium Earth Orbit) satellites are headed toward playing a major role in the transmission of Internet and other data networks. The round-trip delay using LEOs and other NGSs (Non-Geo Satellites) is a small fraction of GEO satellite latency. Small-Sats make possible low-cost space-based networks that can provide services to all regions of the globe.
